✈️ 15 teams pulled an 82-ton jet and raised $78,000+ for Special Olympics Virginia

Fifteen teams gathered at Roanoke-Blacksburg Airport on Saturday for the third annual Southwest Virginia Plane Pull, and the total has passed $78,000 for Special Olympics Virginia athletes. Each team took a turn on the ropes to drag an 82-ton FedEx cargo jet roughly 12 feet down the runway. Sheetz posted the fastest pull. Coca-Cola Consolidated and Team Gobble Stop tied for second, and Fit Body Boot Camp placed third while leading all teams in fundraising at $5,725. Ricky and the Real McCoys won the Spirit Award. 💡 Virginia Tech Electric Service is adding a 2.75% surcharge on debit and credit card payments

VTES customers who pay by credit or debit card online, by phone, or through Auto Pay now pay a 2.75% non-refundable service fee. The payment processing company charges the fee, and it shows up as a separate line on the receipt. Payments by eCheck, ACH, cash, check, or money order carry no fee. Card payments made in person at the VTES office or the Virginia Tech Bursar's Office are also exempt. The VTES office is at 601 Energy Drive, and the Bursar's Office is in the Student Services Building at 800 Washington Street. Payment details
